Field Collected: Forrest Fogg material Catalog No.: u1455 Notes: Goyazite indicated by EDS analysis , (unpolished grain). The P peak is a bit low here. I had thought this might be foggite, but moderate Sr peak in EDS plot indicates goyazite.

Groton, NH Specimen Size: Type 2 goyazite. 1.7 mm field of view Field Collected: From a box of small rock chunks gifted by Bob Whitmore Catalog No.: u1584 Notes: An interesting characteristic of some of these type 2 pseudocubes is the brilliant white reflection observed when the incident light is at a critical angle. This is illustrated in these two views, the same cluster at two different incident light angles.

White prismatic apatite is also visible in this view. The substrate is a quartz crystal. Small brazilianite crystals are also present.
